No-reply reminders

Ask Heron to let you know when nobody replies to an email you sent, so you can follow up at the right time.

On this page

Waiting for an important reply? When you send, ask Heron to remind you. If nobody has replied by the date you chose, the email comes back to the top of your inbox and you get a notification.

Set a reminder

  1. In the composer, click the bell Remind me if no reply, next to the Send button.
  2. Pick a delay: In 1 day, In 3 days, In 1 week or Pick a date…
  3. Send your message as usual (or schedule it).

The delay counts from when the message is sent, even for a scheduled send. Before sending, a “Remind if no reply: …” label reminds you of your choice; No reminder removes it.

When nobody replies

Heron watches the conversation. If a reply arrives, the reminder clears itself. Otherwise, when the time comes:

  • you get a “No reply from name” notification;
  • the message shows up in the No reply section at the top of your inbox.

For each message in that section:

  • Follow up opens a reply so you can nudge the other person;
  • Dismiss removes the reminder.

Cancel a pending reminder

Open the message in Sent: a banner says “Reminder on … if no reply”. Choose Cancel reminder.

Good to know: reminders are handled by the Heron server. They work even if your computer is off, and they’re synced across all your devices.
