Subscriptions and unsubscribing
See every newsletter you receive and unsubscribe in one click, without hunting for the link at the bottom of the email.
Heron spots the newsletters you receive and lets you unsubscribe without hunting for the tiny link at the bottom of the email.
Unsubscribe from an email
When you open a newsletter, a Newsletter · Unsubscribe bar appears below the header. Click Unsubscribe and confirm.
Depending on what the sender supports, Heron:
- asks the sender to unsubscribe you directly, without opening a page (the most common case);
- sends an unsubscribe email from your account;
- or opens the sender’s unsubscribe page in your browser: finish there.
If the sender offers none of these, Heron shows No automatic unsubscribe. Use the link in the email instead.
See all your subscriptions
The Subscriptions screen lists your newsletters, from most to least active, with the number of emails received in 30 days, how many you opened and when the last one arrived. It’s the best place to clean up.
- On desktop: Settings → General → Inbox → Subscriptions → Open, or Manage subscriptions from the Newsletters bundle of the smart inbox.
- On mobile: Settings → Inbox → Subscriptions.
Click Unsubscribe next to a newsletter. Heron then offers to archive that sender’s emails still in your inbox.
Good to know: unsubscribing is a request sent to the sender. Some take a few days to apply it. Meanwhile, you can block the sender or file their emails.
A newsletter is missing?
The list contains senders sorted into Newsletters. If a newsletter lands with emails from people, right-click it → Move to → Newsletters (on desktop). See Smart or classic inbox.
