Heron Terms of Use

1. Purpose

Heron is an email client that lets you read and send email from several mailboxes (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, IMAP…) on desktop and mobile, kept in sync by the heronmailapp.com service. These terms govern your use of the app and the service. By creating an account, you accept them as well as the Privacy Policy.

2. Publisher

The service is published by [PUBLISHER — name or company, address, registration]. Contact: contact@heronmailapp.com. Hosting: [HOSTING PROVIDER — name, address].

3. Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
  • You may only add mailboxes that you own or are authorized to use.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the app settings: all data kept by the service is then erased. Your mailboxes at your email provider are not modified.

4. How the service works

To notify you and keep your devices in sync, the service connects to your mailboxes with the credentials or authorizations you provide (IMAP/SMTP or Google / Microsoft sign-in). It only acts on your instructions: reading, sending (immediately, after an undo delay, or scheduled), moving, snoozing and deleting messages. Scheduled or pending messages are sent by the service at the planned time, even when the app is closed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Heron to send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or unlawful content, or to compromise the security of the service or of third parties. Complying with your email providers’ terms remains your responsibility.

6. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it available and reliable but cannot guarantee it: an outage, a failure at your email provider or a configuration error may delay or prevent a message or a notification. Your email remains stored by your provider, which is responsible for keeping it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages resulting from the use of the service.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. If they change materially, the app will ask you to accept them again before you continue.

8. Governing law
