Schedule a send

Write now, send later. The message goes out at the time you choose, even if your computer is off.

Writing late at night but want your email to land Monday at 9 am? Schedule it. The message is sent at that time by the Heron server, even if your computer is off or your phone is offline.

Schedule a message

On desktop:

  1. Write your message.
  2. Click the arrow to the right of the Send button (More send options).
  3. In Schedule send, pick a suggested time (later today, tomorrow morning, this weekend…) or an exact date and time, then Schedule.

On mobile: tap the clock next to Send, pick the time, then Schedule.

A “Scheduled: …” confirmation appears.

Find your scheduled sends

Messages waiting to be sent are in Scheduled, in the sidebar (the entry appears as soon as something is scheduled). For each one, you can:

  • Send now;
  • Change send time, then Reschedule;
  • Cancel sending: the message is taken out of the queue and reopened in the composer so you can edit it.

If sending fails

If the mail server rejects the message at the scheduled time (changed password, refused attachment…), it stays in Scheduled marked Not sent, and you get a notification. Fix the issue, then choose Retry.

Good to know: combine scheduled send with a no-reply reminder: the reminder delay counts from the scheduled send time.
