Undo send
Take back an email sent too fast for a few seconds, and set that delay to suit you.
On this page
Forgot an attachment? Wrong recipient? After you click Send, Heron waits a few seconds before the message goes out. During that time, you can undo it.
Undo a message
Right after sending, a “Sending in 5s” notice appears at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button. Click it: the message isn’t sent and reopens in the composer, exactly as you left it. Fix it and send it again.
Once the delay is over, the message is gone: it can no longer be recalled.
Set the delay
The default delay is 5 seconds. To change it:
- on desktop: Settings → General → Undo send;
- on mobile: Settings → General → Undo send.
Choose Immediately (no delay, no undo), 3s, 5s, 7s or 10s. The setting is synced across all your devices.
Good to know: during the delay, the message waits on the Heron server. You can close the app: it will still be sent when the delay ends.
Need more time?
If you want to keep control for longer, schedule the send: you can cancel or edit it until the scheduled time.
