Delete your Heron account

You can delete your Heron account at any time, from the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

On a computer

1. Open Settings (⌘ , or Ctrl ,) → Heron account.
2. At the bottom, under Danger zone, click Delete my account.
3. Enter your Heron password, then click Delete permanently.

On mobile

1. Open Settings → Heron Account → Delete my account.
2. Review what will be deleted, enter your password and tap Delete my account.
3. Confirm with Delete.

What gets deleted

• Your Heron account (name, email, password).
• The mailboxes you added and their credentials.
• Our copy of your messages and folders (the index), and the derived address book.
• Scheduled sends and snoozed messages.
• Your settings and your devices’ notifications.
• Connected AI agents and their access.

All your devices are signed out. Only technical security logs are kept, 3 months at most.

What isn’t touched

Your emails at your provider (Gmail, iCloud, Outlook…) stay in your mailboxes. You can keep reading them with any other app.

Important: a scheduled send that hasn’t gone out yet is deleted with your account: it won’t be sent. Check the Scheduled list first.

Just want to remove a mailbox?

If you only want a mailbox to disappear from Heron, no need to delete your account: see Manage your mailboxes.
