Connect Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, mobile)

Add Heron as a custom connector in Claude, in one click from the app or by hand with the server address.

Heron is added to Claude as a custom connector. Once added, it works in Claude Desktop, on claude.ai and in the Claude mobile app, with the same Claude account.

Before you start

A Heron account with at least one mailbox added.
A Claude account. On the free plan, Claude limits custom connectors to one. In a Team or Enterprise organization, an organization owner adds the connector, then each member connects to it.

In one click from Heron (easiest)

Open Settings → AI agents.
Under Connect Claude, click Connect to Claude. Heron copies the server address and opens Claude on the add-connector dialog, already filled in. A 3-step mini guide shows in Heron.
Check the name Heron and the address, then click Add.
Sign in with your Heron email and password.
On the authorization screen, choose each mailbox’s access level, then click Allow.

On desktop, Open Claude Desktop opens the Claude app’s connectors directly (if it’s installed): paste the address, already copied, and name the connector Heron.

By hand

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Heron and paste the address:

Keep the suggested authentication (OAuth): there’s no client ID to enter. Confirm.
Sign in with your Heron account, set the access levels, then click Allow.

Use it in a conversation

In a Claude conversation, turn the connector on with the + button → Connectors, then ask for example “Catch me up on this morning’s email”.

On iPhone or Android: add the connector once (from Heron mobile or on claude.ai). It’s then available in the Claude app with the same account.

Good to know: allowing Claude also turns on AI agent access in your Heron settings. Claude’s menus change over time: if in doubt, check Anthropic’s help on custom connectors.
